“Darken the Way” is Coleman’s attempt to spread awareness of how light pollution most rapidly spreads, its various health and environmental impacts, and what one can do to push for a more sky-friendly community. Bearing a minimal, hand-drawn aesthetic, this campaign spans an array of out-of-home ads (none of which are visible at night), product tags, an animated timeline infographic of the New York City sky, educational signage in aquariums and zoos, and an exclusive “dark sky gear” pop-up location with thematic camping equipment. No matter the place, Coleman is there to educate and inspire all ages to darken the way for a better future.
